Wife, Mother, Yoga Teacher, Nutritional Consultant and creator of Yoga Flora.
I began practicing Yoga in 2007, as a means to diversify my fitness routine. Initially practicing for physical transformation, I started to benefit mentally and emotionally from Pranayama, Meditation and other traditional Yoga methods, both on and off the mat. Yoga naturally became a social culture and complete way of life.
Now, with over 500 hours of training in styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Prenatal, Chair Yoga and more, I have become a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (RYT500) and hold a designation as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher (PYT) as well.
Throughout my journey, Yoga seemed to cover all but one aspect of my life: My poor gut health. After years of gut-related illnesses and ailments, yo-yo dieting, cleansing, researching and experimenting, I learned the importance of proper digestion and how integral nutrition is to our entire being. Recognizing how neglected these topics were in my Yoga studies, I became a Nutritional Consultant in hopes of inspiring a more holistic, health-focussed lifestyle within my community.
I hope that is what Yoga Flora can be for you.
Today, I balance teaching Yoga and sharing Nutrition with family life as a Stay-at-Home Mom to my two children.
You can follow me @YogaFlora on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and maybe even find me in-person within the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.
I would love to practice with you, so let’s connect!
