Through our movement of the body and breath we may access and relieve stress, become more aware of how we move through the world and reflect on our actions and feelings.
A few of the many benefits of asana practice are: relief from persistent physical ailments, weight management, improved alignment of the spine, strengthening of the entire body, improved respiratory function, improved circulation and a heightened sense of mind/body awareness. It gives me great joy to be able to aid others in their pursuit of happiness and equilibrium.
The intentions of practitioners vary widely, there are people whom simply want an amazing work out, others come to achieve a more balanced lifestyle, some are completely new to yoga and others still have maintained a rigorous practice for the last X amount of years.
I teach to all levels and believe that your body is truly the ultimate teacher; you must decide and reflect on where your practice takes you, how close to your edge you would like to go.

  • "Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one's being, from bodily health to self realization. Yoga means union - the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day to day life and endows skill in the performance of one's actions."

    - B.K.S. Iyengar

  • "Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame."

    - B.K.S. Iyengar
